CNC MOSFET Regulator Use Only with Lithium-Ion Battery (RMS023-107140)
Brand New Lithium-Ion Battery Compatible MOSFET Voltage Regulator (CNC)
WORKS WITH LITHIUM BATTERIES ONLY
The new red machined aluminium MOSFET voltage regulator is a great upgrade for heat dissipation in any powersports charging system. After 10 minutes of use, the billet aluminium heatsink runs 33% cooler than standard cast regulator housings. The new red regulator, equipped with renowned MOSFET regulation technology, is an added value to any three-phase permanent magnet charging system.
STOP BURNING THE REGULATOR RECTIFIER!
It is time to update or replace the voltage regulator with the advanced MOSFET type.
It runs cooler than all OEM diode-style regulators. In addition, this rectifier has overheat protection. Rather than burning up, it will simply turn off for a while and cool off.
- Direct replacement to the original unit.
- Plug-and-play, direct fit, easy installation.
- Quality exceeds the OEM equipment.
- Improved heatsink and charging capabilities.
- Higher-grade electrical components.
- All shipped products are tested.
We have even included the opposite connector (main harness side), as we know these are often melted, corroded or defective and a major cause of repetitive electrical issues.
All item pictures are accurate. If in doubt, compare the item to the original part.
Why Do You Need a Different Voltage Regulator for Lithium Batteries?
Lithium batteries have different charging requirements than Lead Acid or AGM batteries that can severely affect their lifespan and performance. The key factors in safe and reliable lithium battery charging are the output DC voltage ripple and average output voltage. The RMSTATOR regulator is designed around the optimal parameters for these factors.
The Ripple Effect Is All That Matters
Charging voltage ripple in a powersports application is the difference between the highest and lowest voltages from the voltage regulator output. By nature, a common shunt-style voltage regulator will have a fairly high voltage ripple due to the regulation shunt switches opening and closing frequently. Each on/off transition will cause some variation in the output voltage. This is unavoidable. Keeping this to a minimum is critical for lithium batteries, and the RMSTATOR Lithium regulator is designed around this feature.
In a perfect world, a ripple of less than 10% of the output voltage (~1.5 V for a typical regulator) would be ideal, however, this is not practical for this type of regulator. The RMSTATOR Lithium regulator is able to maintain less than 4 V output ripple, compared to verified test results of the competitors' 8 V. Keep in mind this ripple voltage is only seen via an oscilloscope sampling the voltage thousands of times a second, and is not the same as the average charging voltage as measured by a multimeter.
Why Use MOSFET Enhanced Technology?
- Runs cooler: Runs much cooler than the traditional shunt voltage regulator rectifier.
- Saves fuel: Less load on the stator means less work, less fuel is used and you save.
- Regulated energy: The power charging the battery is steadier and smoother.
- Extended battery life: Extends the battery's life and cold cranking capacity.
- More engine power: Removes stator load, resulting in more engine power.
- Optimised power: Optimises power delivery by switching the stator coils on or off.
MOSFET Enhanced Technology
This product is an advanced design that lowers operating temperatures for extended longevity and better performance than the OEM part.
